Tulsa Pet Grooming

Tulsa Pet Grooming – Animals have a way with how they communicate. Whether it’s brushing up against your leg for food or standing next to the door to be let out, animals can signal what they want. All dogs have their way about things, especially larger breeds.

Larger breeds do some funny and fascinating acts every day that we don’t pay attention to. If you have a big dog, here are some fun facts, enjoy!

Being the animals, we’ve chosen a couple of the big breeds to showcase some of their characteristics.

Bernese Mountain Dog

These large mountain dogs that originate from Switzerland are known for their strong, solid stature and beautiful fur coat. Although the Bernese Mountain dog is mighty, it makes the perfect family pet because they are calm and patient around small children. They require a lot of exercise because in Switzerland they were the dogs that pulled carts! Wow!

German Shepherd

Being a former sheepherder, the German Shepherd has become popular and most favorite breed. The greatest thing about this breed is that they make excellent companions. They are one of the smartest breeds of dogs that also shares a fun-loving personality!

Rottweiler

This breed might be known as the sterner breeds because they’ve been around since the Roman Empire, and were trained to move cattle and guard those cattle to market. Rottweilers are very loyal and intelligent, and they make great therapy dogs. These dogs will forever guard you!

Standard Poodle

The human-like companion dog, the Standard Poodle, was originally from Germany and used as a water retriever. Most people love their fur coats that are very soft and shaped in unique ways by Tulsa pet grooming services. As an added bonus, poodles don’t shed!

Dalmatian

From the Disney movie, 101 Dalmatians, to seeking out the spotted breed on the streets, the Dalmatian is a very active dog. This breed originates from Croatia where they were trained to run alongside horse-drawn carriages that would clear the path for the horses. If you’re an active person who likes to run, Dalmatians make a great running partner!

Siberian Husky

Although the Siberian Husky showcases beautifully blue and sometimes multi-colored eyes, they were more than that to the Siberian tribes. Huskies were the essential partner for the tribe survival by providing transportation with pulling their sleds. These dogs are very alert, active, and have thick coats that need regular brushing. If your Siberian Husky needs a de-shedding service for spring, Tulsa pet grooming can provide you with that service and help show off their beautiful fur coats!

Golden Retriever

The hardworking and happy Golden Retriever made its first appearance in Scotland. The Golden Retriever was known as a hunting dog on land or water. These dogs are America’s favorite because they make great family members and are very lovable. With many traits, Golden Retrievers are also great for rescue, Seeing Eye dogs, and therapy work!

How neat! These are just some tid-bits about your dog and where they originated from. In order to keep your dog’s fur coat beautiful and maintained, visit Tulsa pet grooming for a de-shedding or haircut service!
